About
This Japanese-style short grain polished rice is cultivated for it's 'sticky' texture, giving it the unique ability to bind together.
Uses
It forms the backbone of various sushi dishes, including sushi rolls, balls and bowls. The subtle sweetness and chewy texture of white sushi rice is also great in salads and other Asian inspired dishes. To cook: Rinse under running water then drain. Add 2 cups of water to every cup of rice. Bring to the boil in an uncovered pot. With the lid on reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes. Turn off heat, then fluff with a fork.
