About

Fresh Australian almonds are used in the making of this almond flour. The almonds have been lightly blanched to remove the outer skin, and ground to a light almond meal. The flavour is mildly sweet and nutty, and the texture is finer than whole almond meal. People who follow the Keto diet love almond flour because it has good fats and low carbs. 

Uses

You can use almond flour for both savory and sweet dishes. It tastes delicious in baked and raw goods, and can be substituted for flour in baking recipes. Its finer texture makes it ideal for shortbread and lighter cake recipes.

I bought both flour and meal, expecting them to different in fineness or particles. Instead, they appeared the same. They did come from different batches because the colour was slightly different. Why offer two choices?
