About Chickpeas

Uses for Chickpeas
The cooking time of dried chickpeas can be reduced by soaking them for 12-24 hours before cooking. After soaking cook in boiling water for 30-45 mins or until tender. In many Middle Eastern and Indian dishes, chickpeas are an important ingredient. You can serve them cold in salads, add them to soups or stews to fill them up, or make a fantastic hummus paste. The versatility of chickpeas makes them a great base for meals as you can roast them in many different herbs and spices.
