Chilli Honey Recipe
Chilli honey is like a cool condiment that brings together the sweetness of honey with a little spicy kick. You can do so much with it! Use it to marinate or glaze meats, jazz up your salads as a dressing, add flavor to stir-fries, or slather it on sandwiches and burgers for that extra zing. It's even awesome with cheese and perfect for glazing roasted veggies. Oh, and don't forget to drizzle it over desserts like ice cream or cheesecake. This stuff adds a rad combo of sweet and spicy to your meal, making it a must-have in your kitchen arsenal.
Ingredients:
1 cup honey
1-2 tablespoon of red chilli flakes (adjust according to your desired spice level)
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (for added tanginess)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, heat the honey over low heat until it becomes thin and runny. Be careful not to overheat it or let it boil.
Add the chilli peppers to the honey and stir well to combine. Continue to cook the mixture over low heat for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse together.
Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the vinegar to the mixture and stir well.
Once cooled, transfer the chilli honey to a clean sterilised jar or bottle for storage. Make sure it is tightly sealed.
Your chilli honey is ready to be enjoyed! We recommend keeping your honey in the fridge and removing 30 mins before needing to use. It should keep well for up to 3 months.
