Organic Steel Cut Oats

About

Oats are well known for their nutritional benefits, having protein and high levels of dietary fibre. They’re the perfect base for your breakfast cereals, as well as a versatile baking ingredient. Steel cut oats take longer to cook than rolled oats, but they are so worth the wait.

Uses

Whip up a healthy breakfast by adding your favourite milk, or just water.

Add 1 cup of steel-cut oats to 3 cups of liquid, bring to the boil then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Throw in some nuts, seeds and fresh fruit before serving.

Organic steel cut oats

Hi
I ordered organic steel cut oats but I think I actually received rolled oats. What I received definitely had the consistency of rolled oats. I am happy to keep them though. But really appreciated the free gift of almonds!
Thanks

Very fine cut

These oats are milled finer than the steel-cut oats we are used to. They cook up rather mushy, and the finished product is almost like instant oats from a packet. They don't hold up in the pan and give that satisfying, chewy texture of the larger-cut oats. Won't purchase again.
