Spanish Capers

The Spanish Caper Alcaparras is a small green fruit harvested from Southern Spain and preserved in a salty pickling solution. Capers have a briny flavor and a sweet, fruity taste that goes well with cooked and fresh food. You can mince your spinach capers to make a simple tapenade to serve with crackers or with fish. Adding drained capers to a simmering tomato sauce instantly upgrades weeknight pasta with a bright, salty flavor from Spain. We love to add them to egg & potato salads. Also great on Spanish tapas!
