About

Tapioca flour is a starch derived from cassava roots, also known as tapioca starch or arrowroot starch. After the roots have fully grown, they are harvested and processed to remove toxins. By pulping the mixture and separating the liquid from the starch, the starch is then extracted from the root.

Uses

It can be used to make gluten-friendly cakes and biscuits as well as delicious pie crusts. Tapioca flour has a mildly sweet taste and can be used for gluten-free baking. Its smooth texture makes it ideal for thickening sauces. Many recipes call for it as a substitute for wheat flour or corn starch.
