Originally cultivated and consumed by the ancient Mayans, cacao is considered a "superfood" that will leave you feeling happy and rejuvenated. Cocoa powder is made from raw organic cacao beans, which are the seeds of an Amazonian fruiting tree and the source of all milk and dark chocolate and cocoa products. Because the temperature is never allowed to exceed 40°C, the powder is considered a 'raw' food since all heat-sensitive vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants remain intact, thereby providing maximum digestion and absorption.
