Star Anise

Star Anise gives a spicy, sweet flavour that becomes more intense as it gets cooked. It is used in marinades, bbq's, roasts, stews, and soups that require long simmering. Star Anise pairs well with mint, cinnamon, ginger, soy sauce, orange, rose assence, curry leaves, chilli peppers, curry powders and black pepper.
