What are they made from?

Made from 100% cotton and natural elastic rubber which means these covers are completely biodegradable, so you don’t need to worry about leaving any traces on our wonderful planet. On top of that, they are so much prettier than cling film.

Can they be used to cover food stored in the refrigerator?

Karlstert bowl covers are reversible and are made with two layers of fabric. The two layers minimise the air gap between the food and the refrigerator making them ideal and keeping food fresh and delicious for longer. They also hinder any fridge odour penetrating food.

Can they be used in the microwave?

When microwaving, you can leave the cover on your container and simply add water to the fabric to dampen it. The damp surface will prevent the food from drying out. Please note, the microwave process will diminish the life span of the natural elastic rubber.

Caring for your covers

Simply machine wash in cold water and they come out fresh and like new! Hang to dry. DO NOT tumble dry & DO NOT use in an oven.
