We have sourced this brown linseed from organic farmers who harvest linseed with minimal processing. Linseed is a nutrition powerhouse that contains essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), which strengthen the immune system and cleanse the arteries. It is easy to access these health benefits if the seeds are ground or chewed thoroughly. Additionally, it contains fibre, protein, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Also, it has zero cholesterol and low saturated fat. Linseed has a nutty taste that lends an additional level of flavour to salads, soups, yoghurts, cereals, and baked goods.

Uses

You can add ground flaxseed to your diet in various ways and it is a great addition to your daily diet. A tablespoon of ground flaxseed can be included in your morning smoothie or breakfast bowl. To make your own LSA, simply mix ground flaxseed with ground sunflower seeds and almonds, and then add to the same breakfast options as above. Ground flaxseed can be added to bliss balls, muffins, cookies, loaves, and bread mixes. This will provide additional nutrition without significantly altering the flavor of the original recipe.
