About
In contrast to refined white sugar, raw sugar retains its natural coating, which gives it a golden color and added flavour. It is this syrup coating that gives an extra depth to baking and cooking, as well as enhancing a simple cup of coffee. We can use raw sugar in place of refined white sugar as an everyday sweetener.
Uses
Often raw sugar is used in preserves and is especially wonderful in rich relishes and chutneys.
