The Urban Composter City is the perfect companion for eco-friendly city dwelling.

The Urban Composter City uses anaerobic composting to ferment your kitchen scraps right in the bucket. This process will minimise foul odours and flies. Simply cut up your food scraps into small pieces, spray with Urban Composter Compost Accelerator Spray and close the lid.

Drain the bucket every few days to release excess moisture from the fermentation process. Use this liquid, diluted, to add to your favourite plants as a nutritious liquid fertiliser.

Available in beige only.

Comes with first spray bottle. Refill bottles sold separately.

Compost Accelerator Contains:

Dynamic fermented fruit extract - EM-1 Effective Microbes (lactobacillus, yeast, probiotics and antioxidants).  Additional selected cultures for cellulose and fat consumption

How it works:

Urban Composter is bokashi done better – with messy bokashi bran replaced with a simple and effective spray. It’s simple to use.

1. Add your scraps to the bucket

Cut your scraps into small pieces then place into the Urban Composter. All types of food scraps can be composted including Meat, Fish, Veggies, Fruit, Dairy, Coffee, Wilted Flowers (no bones or excessive liquids).

2. Spray with Compost Accelerator

Compost Accelerator is sprayed on the scraps and this starts the fermentation in the bucket. The system uses an anaerobic composting process which means that the food scraps don’t rot or smell while breaking down.

3. Drain the bucket every couple of days

You will notice compost tea is created as your kitchen scraps ferment. This compost tea is saturated in good bacteria and nutrients and you should drain it from the bucket every few days. This is nutrient-rich food for gardens and pot plants, or you can flush it down the drains to promote a good septic system.

4. Mix with soil

The scraps break down in 4-8 weeks. Once the bucket is full, and all the liquid drained, the pulp can be buried in the garden, in a pot or planter of soil, added to outdoor composting or to worm farms.
