About Milk Powder
As a manufactured dairy product, powdered milk can also be referred to as dried milk or dry milk powder. Drying milk is used to preserve it; milk powder has a longer shelf life than liquid milk and does not require refrigeration because of its low moisture content.
Uses for Milk Powder
Cold water instantly dissolves whole milk powder. Mix it up, place it in the fridge, and use milk powder like you would fresh milk. You can also use dry milk powder in breadmaker recipes. One cup of fresh milk is equal to four tablespoons of milk powder.
