Cold Brew Coffee
Our cold brewing method slowly brings out the chocolate & hazelnut flavour of the Eighthirty single origin bean. Mmm.
Ingredients
1 cup of eighthirty Brazil coffee or Mt Atkinson Muriwai plunger grind (we can grind for you)4 cups of water
Optional: Cold milk of your choice
Equipment
Large jar or bottle for brewing
Bottle for cold brew storage
Fine strainer/coffee filter/muslin cloth
Method
- Add the ground coffee to the large brewing container and add the water.
- Let the coffee and water brew for 12 hours. We like to make ours in the evening and brew overnight. You can brew at room temp or in the fridge.
- Pour the brewed coffee through the strainer into the storage bottle. The coffee grounds are great food for your plants, or you could try making a coffee body scrub.
- Pour your brewed coffee over ice for a refreshing caffeine hit. Stir in a little maple syrup for a sweeter version. Cold milk of your choice is optional.
Store cold brew in the fridge for up to 5 days.
