Cold Brew Coffee

Cold Brew Coffee

Our cold brewing method slowly brings out the chocolate & hazelnut flavour of the Eighthirty single origin bean. Mmm.

Ingredients

1 cup of eighthirty Brazil coffee or Mt Atkinson Muriwai plunger grind (we can grind for you)
4 cups of water
Optional: Cold milk of your choice

Equipment

Large jar or bottle for brewing
Bottle for cold brew storage
Fine strainer/coffee filter/muslin cloth

Method

  1. Add the ground coffee to the large brewing container and add the water.
  2. Let the coffee and water brew for 12 hours. We like to make ours in the evening and brew overnight. You can brew at room temp or in the fridge.
  3. Pour the brewed coffee through the strainer into the storage bottle. The coffee grounds are great food for your plants, or you could try making a coffee body scrub.
  4. Pour your brewed coffee over ice for a refreshing caffeine hit. Stir in a little maple syrup for a sweeter version. Cold milk of your choice is optional.

Store cold brew in the fridge for up to 5 days.
